Dr. Tanner Dunlop is an Orthopaedic Surgeon in the Regina Area of the Saskatchewan Health Authority with a special interest in Upper Extremity. He is fully certified as a specialist in Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Saskatchewan.

Dr. Tanner Dunlop was born in Moose Jaw, SK and grew up in Emerald Park & Balgonie. He graduated from Greenall High School before attending the University of Regina to study Sciences. He then moved to Saskatoon where he studied Microbiology/Immunology and went on to complete his Medical Degree and Orthopedic Residency at the University of Saskatchewan.  Next, he completed a fellowship in Orthopedic Upper Extremity Reconstruction & Sports Medicine at the Pan Am Clinic in Winnipeg, MB.  He currently lives in Regina with his wife, daughter & son.


SPECIAL INTEREST & EXPERTISE

Dr. Dunlop has a special interest in upper extremity surgery, arthroscopy and sports medicine.  His elective surgical practice consists of:

  • Shoulder: arthroscopy & reconstruction, including instability, impingement, rotator cuff, labrum, biceps, AC joint, shoulder replacements (hemi, total, and reverse)

  • Elbow: arthroscopy, tendon repair (including distal biceps), ligament reconstruction, capsular releases, elbow replacements

  • Wrist: arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, partial and complete wrist fusions, scaphoid nonunions, soft tissue pathology, wrist replacement, basilar thumb arthritis

  • Knee: arthroscopy & reconstruction including ACL, patellar instability, menisci
